Chief Keef & Young Chop Get Reacquainted on “Light Heist”

Ever since “Don’t Like” took Chicago drill rap to new heights in 2012, it’s been known that producer Young Chop and rapper Chief Keef are a force to be reckoned with when they hop on a track together. On “Light Heist,” the duo gives listeners a little reminder of what they are capable of. As the title suggests, the track airs on the side of the drill sub genre, but it’s still a hard, aggressive beat thanks to additional production from Chicago Chop Squad producer Chris Barnett. You can hear Chief Keef sounding re-energized on “Light Heist” along with a snippet of a new track with Mike Will titled “In My Mode,” a long-awaited sign that Keef may be on the brink of a┬ácomeback.

Keef and Barnett released another track yesterday, titled “Driver.”
