Travis Scott Announces Album Release Date, Performs New Song

After weeks of speculation, Travis Scott’s Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight may actually have an official release date. Scott announced that his new record would be dropping on August 5th during a concert in Coney Island, New York. The follow-up to Rodeo will feature a range of collaborations; Scott already linked up with Young Thug and Quavo on the summer smash “Pick Up The Phone,” and he’s also been working with up-and-coming Oakland native, Kamaiyah.

During the show, Scott also debuted a new song tentatively titled “Shit to Lose.” He bounces around the stage as it gets engulfed in lava—a fitting visual for La Flame’s fuzzy vocals and Mike Dean’s sinister synths on the new track.

As August 5th approaches, more news surrounding Birds in the Trap continues to surface. Scott hinted at a deal with Apple a couple of weeks ago, and has also been working on a short film to go with the album. With these factors in mind, it seems like La Flame has something very special planned for this highly anticipated release.
