If you need a rush of positive vibes in your life, look no further than Ant Beale and Charlie Heat’s “Dirty Taurus.” One of the strongest tracks off of their No Rain No Flowers EP, the rapper-producer duo put their strengths together into something that sounds like it belongs in the summertime.
Ant Beale, a New Jersey native, emphasizes his new jet-setter lifestyle. Flying to LA and back, he’s on the brink of breaking through and he doesn’t sound like he’s letting anyone hold him back from achieving what he wants. Instead, he raps about keeping his team tight and all the haters at bay.
Charlie Heat, whose signed to Kanye’s GOOD Music as a producer, does what he does best on “Dirty Taurus” and all throughout this whole project. Bouncy kicks that sound like they were pulled right out of his “Facts” remix and light, twinkling melodies fit right around Ant Beale’s upbeat rhyme scheme. Similar to Beale, Charlie’s also at a decisive moment in his career; he’s consistently working with the GOOD Music roster and, more recently, Kehlani’s new album. Both Ant Beale and Charlie Heat have no time to waste on negativity, and this track makes that clear.
