Originating from Orlando, Tyler Tims is a new artist with only three tracks under his belt. Heavily influenced by Kid Cudi and BROCKHAMPTON, you can hear those artists resonate in the way he launches right into a track. Still experimenting to find his niche, Tyler has different rapping styles throughout all of his songs. From his high octane voice on “Memento Mori” and “AMENSIA” to his rawer style on this newest track, “DOZE”.
“DOZE” is a violent attack of the microphone, and the booming power of Tims’ voice sounds similar to a higher power preaching down. Tims links up with his go-to producer Beling on this track, who opens with a heavenly intro before adding a refreshing arrangement of drums to the mix. Throughout the song, Tims takes aim at the people sleeping on him and the ones who leech off him, as he attempts to find “Gods not Demons.”
