Chicago wordsmith and criminally underrated hip-hop talent Vee Miyagi has been a favorite on our page for awhile now. Today, we bring you the premiere of his brand new music video, “You Know.”
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Vee pens an ode dedicated to the one who’s been on his mind. As he explains, the song is about “the balance and power shifts we go through in relationships.” The track dives into a more vulnerable side to Vee’s music, as he shows he’s not afraid to get deeply personal and intimate behind the mic. The video echoes a similar idea of emotional trust in a relationship. Directed by Chicago’s Ben J. Moore, Vee and model Iza Leslie act out a scene inspired by Omar Epps and Nia Long from the movie “In Too Deep.” Peep the video for “You Know” above and stay tuned for more from Vee.
